This article discusses a derivation of formula Muller-like method for solving a nonlinear equation. The derivation uses a technique as to derive Secant-like method and Muller method. Numerical simulatons are presented to confirm the proposed formula using some functions with several different initial guesses. The results show that the Muller-like method can be used as an alternative method for obtaining a complex solution of a nonlinear equation.
